HIGHLIGHTS: Wildland Firefighter, Mountaineer, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competitor

My passion for training was born out of necessity when I was a rookie wildland firefighter getting absolutely smoked (pun intended) by the demands of the job. I needed to hike (fast) uphill with more than a third of my bodyweight, construct line in blazing temperatures for hours on end, get a questionable night of sleep in the dirt, and wake up to do it all over again.

My first fire season exposed how unprepared I was and set me on a long path of figuring it out. I made every training mistake in the book before finally investing in my own education and mentorship — eventually getting my NASM certification to start spreading the good word (coaching).

My continued search for knowledge, of course, led me to Complete Human Performance. In 2023, I left the fire service after 7 years working on both hotshot crews and engines to coach full time. I have since worked with over 100 clients, most of which are firefighters, trails crewmembers, hunting guides, and others with mountain-oriented goals.

I love coaching because I believe in the work. I want my clients to feel capable and proud of their bodies at all stages of the journey. Being strong and durable, whatever that looks like for each individual, allows us to access deeper layers of joy in the things we love to do (and suffer a little less in the things we don’t).

I currently reside in the Lake Tahoe area and work in wildfire prevention alongside coaching. I spend the rest of my time in the mountains, on the mats training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or in bed with my dog Enzo looking at memes.

I really love helping clients work on their relationship to their bodies - particularly the work of untangling their physical performance and appearance from their identity and self-worth.
