Saffron Ardren

Saffron has over 8 years of coaching experience, specializing in CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. She holds a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer credential and a British Weightlifting Level 2 certification, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of athlete development.
She coaches in person at CrossFit Huntsman in the UK. With a training background in CrossFit, Olympic lifting, ultra running, and competitive swimming, Saffron has built her coaching philosophy around the idea that athletes don’t have to choose between being strong or enduring, they can be both. She brings this belief to life through balanced, effective training that challenges athletes physically and mentally.
Saffron has fallen in love with ultra distance running, not just for the miles, but for the mindset. The deep mental challenge, the quiet negotiations with self-doubt, and the overwhelming sense of achievement that comes from overcoming negative thoughts are what keep her coming back to the trail. It’s this inner resilience she’s passionate about cultivating in others. She also loves to be outside, take in the scenery around her and appreciates a good view and those trail runs are perfect for just that. She loves an endurance focussed challenge, having taken part in things like a 12 hour Amrap of "Dantes triathlon", a marathon row, and a couple of 6 hour erg focussed events with a team of likeminded people from the gym.
She currently runs two local run clubs specialising in endurance running and speedy track sessions and coaches individuals across a range of disciplines, from recreational runners to competitive lifters. Her passion lies in helping people chase the big, scary goals, the ones that stretch their limits and reveal what they’re truly capable of. Saffron believes that it’s a privilege to do hard things, and an even greater privilege to guide others through them. Her coaching is athlete-first, grounded in empathy, structure, and a relentless belief in human potential.
